What is a CMS? (Content Management System)
A content management system is a platform which allows you to make edits to your website. Adding or deleting pages, managing photos and editing your content are all controlled through a Content Management System. There are many content management systems all varying in complexity and uses.
What CMS do you use?
We predominantly use WordPress and Perch CMS. WordPress is open source content management system software, it is versatile with custom designs and flexible with its functionality. The WordPress community is contributed to by tens of thousands of developers all over the world and is growing from strength to strength. We also support Squarespace and Boss websites.
What is information architecture?
Information architecture is the relationship of how all the different parts and pages of a website are connected to each other. This is generally visually communicated via a sitemap.
Are your sites mobile friendly?
Yes, all the websites we design and develop are mobile friendly or what is call responsive. Responsive websites respond according to the device that is being used to use the website to give the view the best experience. How long to get to the top of the google rankings?
Everybody needs traffic to a website for it to work, to get business enquiries or generate sales. Search Engine Optimisation is a way to help with getting traffic to your website.
The time it takes for your website to appear at the top of Google depends on a number of factors. It depends on the search phrases people are using and the competition of those search phrases. Nobody can truly say how long it will take to be listed at the top of Google (including people who actually work for Google), there are however a number of factors to improve your results. Creating regular, unique and interesting content for your website is a great way to increase your visibility on search engines.

How much is it going to cost?
Well… this depends. Every business is different and require different needs. We design every website to align with your brand and we build every website to try to meet the goals of the business. This may require specific functionality and other requirements such as a photographer or the production of a video may need to be considered. This approach means that its best to discuss your needs and business goals first.
My site is not getting traffic, can you help?

How will I know if anyone is visiting my website?
Google Analytics is installed on all of our website builds. Google Analytics delivers a wide range of statistics and trends about your website traffic, including the number of visits, page views and the amount of time people are spending on your pages on the website.
